~~Sunday 6th of March was a joint walk with the Devon and Cornwall groups meeting on the boarder formed by the river Tamar. Parking on the Devon side in the rain we anticipated a very wet walk and were not disappointed. The best that can be said was at one point it was merely mizzle (combination of mist and drizzle).
However it was a fabulous walk down the Tamar and upward to the ancient town of Gunnislake through woodland and mining works there was lot of chatter between the two groups that rarely meet in such numbers, so much networking and new connections were made.
Fortunately at the end of the walk there was a great tea shop and plenty of homemade cake, plus the opportunity to dry out before the trip home!
